Let’s Celebrate Life

I saw this hand painting while in a souvenir shop in Costa Rica back in January. I simply loved the energy in it. The colours, the expression, the body language. Sadly, I don’t know the person who did this (but if you ever find this post, thanks for your colourful spirit!)

Life, in any way we choose to think of it, should be celebrated frequently enough.

How do we do that? By spending true time with ourselves in the first place. If we sort out our own wellbeing, everything else comes attached to it. Sounds cliché but that’s just how it is.

We can go on tons of yoga, meditation lessons, or make lots of detox diets; but what’s the real challenge is keeping those routines and good habits within time and circumstances. Ones that work for us and just us. Because we are unique.

I’ve suffering of tinnitus for a few months now. That’s an ear buzz. No idea why it was there in the first place, but after medical check ups, head scans and treatments, it all came down to one thing: stress. Deep down I knew it, due to different circumstances earlier in the year: long term travel, repeated flu and sinus, wrong sleeping patterns, just to mention the most obvious ones.

Life can be a lot like this. And this is really nothing compared to other things, I know. But what goes on inside you is just up to you. And just up to us to fix it, talk it through, make time aside to be calm no matter what, every day. It’s not only deserved but necessary.

Good habits are massively important. I’ve learned this even more after removing myself from the system and travelling nonstop for a year. Weirdest, toughest year ever.

I’ve come to understand that every disease has a root, which is in most cases an emotional one. And through these unstable emotions is how we go into the wrong habits that will lead to some kind of health issue most of the times.

My ear buzz was probably due to congestion when it began. But I also knew there was a good chunk of stress to it as well. Even to us doctors, is difficult to realise such basic things so many times.  Main lesson here is one for sure:

Let’s celebrate life. Through a real desire of keeping a good health and the right mindset. Takes time and work, but most of all: it takes true desire to live a better life. ♥
